These features provided frameworks to strengthen Iranian identity and reinforce the foundations of Iranshahri ideology in both sociological and governmental aspects. In the evolution of thought in Iran, we could consider poetry as the philosophical language of Iranian intellectuals, so epic poetry, in this case, the compilation of history in the style and format of <em>Shāhnāmah</em>, as in <em><strong>Mustawfī's Zafarn</strong></em><em>ā<strong>mah</strong>, </em>is a manifestation of intellectual and cultural transformation in the Ilkhanids era.<br />Through poetry and epic poetry, <em>Mustawfī</em> presented the position and function of the "justice-oriented king" as a lasting concept. He presented it in a way that restores the glory of the past as well as the needs of the time. In <em><strong>Zafarn</strong></em>ā<em><strong>mah</strong></em>, <em>Mustawfī</em>, by the philosophical language of poetry and the use of the desirable past, intended to provide an efficient model of the Persian <em>Shāhnāmah</em> concept in the Ilkhanid dynasty. He completed the process of previous historians in designing examples of epics, such as Ferdowsi's <em>Shāhnāmah</em>, and left a collection of poems in which history has been appropriately presented in the form of epics and poems. روایت تاریخ در قالب شعر حماسی و علاقه به شاهنامه سرایی و شاهنامه نویسی، ازجمله ویژگی های تاریخ و ادب در ایران دوران پس از حاکمیت ایلخانان بود که در آن شرایط خاصی برای تقویت هویت ایرانی و تحکیم بنیان های ایرانشهری در مناسبات جامعه و حکومت پدید آمد. اگر در سیر تحول فکر و اندیشه در ایران، شعر را زبان حِکمی فرهیختگان ایرانی بدانیم، شعر حماسی و تدوین تاریخ در سبک و قالب شاهنامه، یکی از نمودهای جدی تحول فکری و فرهنگی در عصر ایلخانان است و مصداق برجستۀ آن را در ظفرنامۀ مستوفی می توان یافت.<br />مستوفی از طریق نظم و حماسه سرایی، جایگاه و کارکرد «شاه عدالت محور» را به‌سان مفهومی ماندگار به نحوی عرضه کرد که احیای شکوه گذشته و نیاز زمانه را توأمان داشته باشد. مستوفی در ظفرنامه، با زبان حِکمی شعر و بهره گیری از گذشته مطلوب، قصد داشت الگویی کارآمد از مفهوم شهنشاه ایرانی در حکومت ایلخانان به دست دهد. او روند مورخان پیشین را در طرح مصادیق حماسه، مانند شاهنامه فردوسی، تکمیل کرد و مجموعه ای منظوم بر جای نهاد که در آن به نحو مقتضی، تاریخ در قالب حماسه و به صورت منظومه به جلوه درآمده است. https://jhic.ut.ac.ir/article_84171_5a5423713bf40a4078b6cec0ecec3de4.pdf
